Yaw Owusu Snr is a junior with an interest in majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Finance. He is from Ghana and has a CGPA of 3.64. He lived and attended high school in Ghana but spent his summers in the US and the UK. His post-Virginia Tech aspiration is to leverage experience and leadership from a successful computer science-related business career to lead infrastructure and industrialist projects in Africa. His personal and career dream is to make a hundred million dollars by 35 and become a philanthropist, and luxury car collector. He dreams of serving as an inspiration to future high achievers.
Yaw says the best thing about being a black male student at Virginia Tech is his belonging to an embracing and empowering like-minded community. He mentioned that his father is his role model and an inspiration to thousands of Ghanaians. His father embodies hard work, determination, resilience, friendliness, and all other qualities that make a good leader and role model.
He is affiliated with the Google Developers Student Club, ASA, and BSA, and during his free time, he runs his agency, plays games, hangs out with friends, and watches sports.
