Titus Cameron

February 2024 Academic Outstanding Student

Titus Cameron is a Senior majoring in Economics with a Business Concentration with a GPA of 3.42. Originally from Fulton, Maryland, he lives with his mother, and he is the youngest with 1 older brother. Titus says that the best thing about being a black male student at Virginia Tech is to be a positive role model for other students who are minorities on campus. Also, he wants students to know that being in the minority does not limit them from being just as successful as any other group.

Titus plans to go to graduate school so that he can teach others financial literacy and practical skills in business environments. His career goal is to be an entrepreneur and spread the knowledge that he gains throughout his formal education and experience. Titus is a part of the Black Student Alliance and the Undergraduate Student Senate at Virginia Tech and serves as the VP of Finance in both organizations. He says his role model is his mom because she is a hard worker and always is there when you need her. Also, his mom is very positive and endures anything that comes against her. During his free time, he likes to listen to music, read the Bible, and take walks while looking at the beautiful nature.
