Christopher Harris
January 2023 Academic Outstanding Student
Christopher Harris is from Virginia Beach but originally from the Northeast and is a forestry major with a 3.55 GPA. He has been in Virginia for 18+ years and he says he is an unconventional student because he made a career change after 20 years in the automotive service industry.
Christopher enjoys being an ambassador within the Natural Resources/Science community at Virginia Tech and his post-Virginia Tech aspiration is to find a great position in the Land Management and Conservation area of forestry.
Christopher is a part of VADOF Wildland Firefighting Crew and during his leisure, he hikes, works on cars, and spends time with his wife and children. His personal and career dream is to have a long and rewarding career helping to improve and protect America’s forests.
