Ian Doanes

Ian Doanes is a first-year student in the Department of Finance and Entrepreneurship with a CGPA of 3.5. He is from Columbia, Maryland. Ian says the best thing about being a black male student at Virginia Tech is the abundance of resources that are provided to him as a student and as a person of color. His post-Virginia Tech aspiration is to enroll for a master’s degree in Sports management.
Ian says his mother and grandmother are his role model because they are extremely dedicated, loving, and intelligent individuals and they make him want to do good. During his free time, he enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with friends. His personal and career dream is to work corporately in sports.
