Jayson James

Jayson James is a first-generation junior at VT, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management with a focus on Digital Marketing Strategy. This summer he has an upcoming internship as a Chief Administrative Office Analyst at Bank of America in New York City. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Jayson is a distinguished recipient of the full-ride Presidential Scholarship at Virginia Tech. Throughout his academic journey, Jayson has consistently achieved Dean’s List recognition and his academic excellence is complemented by his experience as a Marketing Research Assistant with Virginia Tech's Marketing Department Undergraduate Honors Research Program, where he collaborated closely with faculty on pioneering research projects exploring artificial intelligence, consumer psychology, and marketing.

In addition to his academic and professional endeavors, Jayson is actively involved in campus life. He served as the Public Relations Chair for Pi Sigma Epsilon, a marketing and sales fraternity, where he managed social media accounts and developed creative campaigns to boost engagement and promote fraternity activities. This spring semester he had the opportunity to study abroad in Sydney, Australia as an exchange student at the prestigious University of New South Wales.

In the future, Jayson aims to ascend the corporate ranks to become a marketing executive and to venture into business ownership using his passion for creativity and innovation.
