David Franklin Homere
January 2023 Academic Outstanding Student
David Franklin Homere is from Manassas, Virginia, and is a graduating senior with a GPA of 3.69. He is currently a community assistant for Greystar. David says the best thing about being a black male student at Virginia Tech is that he is able to partake in a wide range of activities involving broad and diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, and eclectic experiences.
His post-Virginia tech aspiration is to work as a property manager and to go to law school to become a Land Use Attorney. David’s career dream is to become an Acquisition/land use attorney, and he says his role model is Martin Luther King Jr because MLK dreamed of transforming the US into a land where people are judged by the content of their character and in harmony with one another. David believes that although we are not there yet as a nation, we have obviously made great strides.
Currently, at Virginia Tech, he is the president of the Property Management Association and during his free time, he reads, runs track, and workout at the gym.
