Yaw Owusu Jnr is a sophomore studying computer science with a CGPA of 3.78. He is from Ghana and enjoys coding as well as anything soccer related. He aspires to be a shot-caller in the future and be respected in whatever field he steps into. He says the best thing about being a black male student at Virginia Tech is being able to shine among peers who do not look like you. His post-Virginia Tech aspiration is to work in a small tech company where his input can go a long way towards realizing company goals while his personal and career dream is to own a tech firm and be able to work from anywhere in the world.
Yaw is affiliated with NSBE and he says his father is his role model because he is always present, working, and putting one foot forward in search of a better life for himself and his family.
