Hello, I'm Richard! I'm currently a Junior majoring in FinTech and Big Data Analytics and pursuing minors in Computer Science and Mathematics. I'm passionate about Finance and Economics. I can help tutor multiple subjects such as cash flows, macroeconomics, and financial methods. I can also help with topics in intro CS and accounting courses.
My approach to tutoring is more conversational, working through steps and explaining along the way, stopping when there are questions. I'm great at helping break down problems into manageable pieces, or relating difficult topics to concepts that are more familiar.
Outside of academics, I enjoy working out, cooking, watching F1, and playing pool. I've been a tutor my whole life; I started in elementary school all the way through high school, and now in college!
I'm a very friendly and open person, and I hope our tutoring sessions feel more like a learning conversation, rather than a lecture or PowerPoint. Always ask me questions, even if they don't make sense; we're here to figure things out, together!
