Hi, my name is Raley, and I am a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering. I plan to tutor Organic Chemistry, Calculus, Engineering, and Genetics. I especially enjoyed Organic Chemistry, with synthesis and spectroscopy being my favorite topics. I hope tutoring will help me continue broadening my knowledge of these subjects.
My tutoring approach focuses on strengthening foundational concepts before moving toward an exam-focused approach. I typically work through homework problems with clients to identify weaknesses and misunderstandings, then revisit the underlying concepts as needed. I expect my sessions to be collaborative and tailored to each client's needs, with the goal of helping students build confidence and become more independent problem-solvers.
Outside of academics, I enjoy embroidering, skiing, and playing trombone. I tutored throughout high school and found it extremely rewarding. I look forward to continuing to support my community and tutoring college-level courses with SSC.
