Hi, I'm Matthew. I'm an Aerospace Engineering accelerated Master's student with a double major in Physics and a minor in math. I mainly tutor main-sequence physics and mathematics. My approach to tutoring is to lead by example. I learn best when I can build strong pattern recognition from worked examples, and I apply the same logic to teaching/tutoring. I enjoy explaining theory and intuition for classes where the elegance of the subject can be missed to stress and class difficulties. Outside of academics, I do music and computer science—I'm always happy to talk about computer science, networking, and architecture. I enjoy swimming, biking, and skiing. I tutor because I enjoy helping people and because I like showing how intuitive difficult topics can be once you understand the questions motivating their creations. During a session with me, you can expect problem solving combined with discussion of the theory driving the problems.
