Hi, I'm Riya! I'm currently a senior studying both clinical neuroscience and psychology. I tutor CHEM 1035, CHEM 1036, CHEM 2535, CHEM 2536, and BIOL 1106, and I especially love organic chemistry because of the nomenclature and because it's like solving a puzzle.
My approach to tutoring is patient and encouraging. I'm strongest at helping students break down content so it can be understood easily.
Outside of academics, I love to bake, read, and go on hikes with my friends. I became a tutor because teaching concepts to others is one of the best ways I've found to reinforce my own understanding.
When we work together, you can expect to start with specific questions you may have, then some practice problems to make sure there are no more immediate questions, and end with a recap of what we discussed.
