Hi, I'm Charlie! I'm a master's student in Chemical Engineering - catalyst synthesis. I tutor general chemistry and classes that require basic calculus.
My approach to tutoring focuses on example problems while simplifying the applied concepts/theories. I'm strongest at helping when students speak out (DON'T BE AFRAID), as feedback and information on weaknesses and strengths make it easier to alter my tutoring style.
Outside of academics, I usually play videogames with friends, watch horror movies, or walk around campus taking photos.
While working together, you can expect me to follow your lead and pace for the session in a low-pressure environment. I give students the freedom to direct, as they know best what they want help with. I do make sure we cover all the material you wanted, while setting aside time to review key concepts at the end of the session and offering advice on how to move forward.
