Hi, I'm Evan! I'm currently a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. I mostly tutor Physics I, Statics, Numerical Methods (ME 2004), and Intro to Software Design (CS 1114). Physics and Statics are my favorite courses to tutor because I love working through the problems step-by-step and applying them to real-world scenarios.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students learn the process behind solving problems instead of just finding the answer. I enjoy helping students understand detailed concepts, use formulas correctly, and organize their work so they can solve problems with confidence.
Outside of academics, I'm a member of the Marching Virginians Drumline and I play in a local band based in Blacksburg. I became a tutor because I enjoy the subjects I tutor and find it rewarding to help students build confidence, overcome challenges, and succeed in their courses.
