Hi, I’m Nathan! I’m currently a junior studying Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech. I tutor Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statics, Dynamics, Chemistry, Biology, Thermodynamics, and Numerical Methods. I especially enjoy Statics because each problem feels like a small puzzle, where there are often multiple ways to find a solution.
My approach to tutoring focuses on helping students connect concepts together so they can confidently tackle new and unfamiliar problems. I’m especially strong at breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable pieces and showing how those pieces can be connected to reach a solution.
Outside of academics, I enjoy rowing with the Virginia Tech Crew team. I became a tutor because I genuinely enjoy working with students and helping make difficult concepts feel simpler and more approachable.
When we work together, you can expect to build a strong understanding of the fundamentals, break complex problems into manageable steps, and develop the skills needed to find solutions independently.
