Hello! My name is Jack Niro; I'm currently a Junior studying Accounting & Information Systems Audit. Outside the classroom I am apart of several organizations such as Theta Chi Fraternity, The interfraternity council of Virginia Tech and the accounting society of Virginia tech. The course I will be tutoring for is principles of financial accounting. My experience in this course is what motivated me to become an accounting major. I found myself thoroughly enjoying the course work, especially the inventory methods topic in financial accounting. I exceled in both these courses where I finished both with an A. Accounting is a rigorous field of study as every topic is interconnected or built on top of each other, therefore my approach to tutoring these courses is for students to understand the "why" and "how" instead of just memorizing the steps to answer problems.
