Virginia Tech’s 5th Annual Uplifting Black Men Conference will take place Saturday, February 15, 2020. Virginia Tech's Motto "Ut Prosim" reminds us that we should serve others when the opportunity presents itself. Frederick Douglas voices, “Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.” There will be over 200 Black boys/men who will be in attendance and the committee's desire is to give away several books to conference attendees for free. We are looking for donated 'like new' or brand new books written by Black authors that speak to teenage and young adult Black boys/men.

The deadline for donations is Wednesday, February 12th

Please drop off your donated books to the Student Success Center or send via Campus mail to the following address:

Student Success Center (0276)
110 Femoyer Hall
280 Stanger St.
Blacksburg, VA 24061

Not sure of what books to donate, view a list of recommended books.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
