Uplifting Black Men Conference

The conference is hosted by the Student Success Center’s Black Male Excellence Network at Virginia Tech each year to invite Virginia Tech students, faculty, staff, alumni to gather in community to share stories, uplifting seminars, and a keynote address. Each year, the conference selects a specific theme to empower black male students.

Black Male Summit

The Black Male Summit is hosted each year by VT BMEN in collaboration with SAAB and spends an afternoon working with students and faculty on relevant workshops that enrich the experience of black male students on campus.

The 2016 Black Male Summit featured an address from Virginia Tech President, Dr. Timothy Sands, a variety of workshops and presentations on academic and personal success. The evening ended with an opportunity for several students and faculty members to network and fellowship.
