Welcome to the Dr. Wayne Scales Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Symposium and Award! Join us on Friday, February 23, 2024, 2:00-3:30 p.m., as three exceptional black male undergraduate students showcase their innovative and important research in science and engineering. These students represent the legacy of the esteemed Dr. Wayne Scales from Virginia Tech. During this momentous event, a committee of faculty and staff will evaluate their presentations, and which students are the first, second, and third place winners. The winners will be announced and acknowledged at the Uplifting Black Men Conference’s award ceremony. Get ready to be inspired by the innovative work of these talented young scholars!
