Virginia Tech BMEN offers a variety of programs to enhance the mission and vision throughout the year. Below are descriptions of yearly programs and how you can become involved!

BMEN Success Coaching

  • Academic success coaching allows students to

Service Trip - S.E.E.D. School of Maryland

The VT BMEN Service Trip will be in Baltimore, Maryland and will take place during Spring Break from Sunday, March 5th– Tuesday, March 7th. During this trip we will provide workshops, professional development and mentor with middle school/ high school students at the S.E.E.D. School of Maryland. At the school we will facilitate workshops on college readiness and spend time engaging with their students in many ways. This will be a bonding experience for Virginia Tech students as well as an opportunity to ‘give back’.

Black Male Summit

The Black Male Summit is hosted each year by VT BMEN in collaboration with SAAB and spends an afternoon working with students and faculty on relevant workshops that enrich the experience of black male students on campus.

The 2016 Black Male Summit featured an address from Virginia Tech President, Dr. Timothy Sands, a variety of workshops and presentations on academic and personal success. The evening ended with an opportunity for several students and faculty members to network and fellowship.

2016 Gathering of Men

The 2016 Gathering of Men was held during the 2016 Black Alumni Reunion Weekend. The event brought together Black male students, alumni, faculty and community members for food and fellowship.
