Spencer Forsling

Spencer Forsling is a graduate assistant for the Student Success Center, where he helps coordinate the tutoring program. He also contributes to research on Sporadic E in the SuperDARN Lab, does website development, and works in the APIDA + Center. On campus, he serves as president of Naturally Sharp A Cappella, performing as a Tenor 2.

Spencer is currently pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on electromagnetics. He previously earned dual bachelor’s degrees in computer engineering and electrical engineering (with a focus on space systems) from Virginia Tech in May 2025. He has presented his research at the American Geophysical Union (AGU).

As an undergraduate, Spencer was actively involved in student organizations, serving as Events Coordinator and Videographer for the Chinese American Society, Historian for the Asian American Student Union, and Treasurer for Naturally Sharp A Cappella.

Outside of school and work, Spencer enjoys growing plants, playing video games, making music, or adventuring with his friends.
