Kaleena Smith

Kaleena Smith is the assistant director of the Student Success Center.

Originally from rural West Virginia, Kaleena came to Blacksburg to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Biology but stayed for the close-knit community. Now a two-time Hokie with a Masters in Instructional Design and Technology, Kaleena is excited to continue her ties with Virginia Tech in this role of supporting Student Success Center tutors and guiding them in peer education skills in a place she calls home.

When not working, Kaleena enjoys reading, spending time with her family, playing tennis, and volunteering in her children’s school as a PTA board member.
