The Student Success Center (SSC) partners with Student Conduct to provide undergraduate students academic success skills and support. We support students with: goal setting, time management (to include balance between academic and co-curricular/extra-curricular activities), motivation and procrastination, reading and note taking, test taking, and working with faculty and advisors. Upon referral, the student will work with a SSC staff to make a customized plan for success based on the needs of the student.
We are here to provide support and encouragement for you. If you have received a sanction to meet with the SSC because an academic support need was identified:
Please call 540-231-5499 to schedule a one-hour meeting. At the time of your call, please let the person scheduling your appointment know that you were referred by Student Conduct. You must schedule your appointment at least 48 hours before your student conduct deadline. We will not meet with walk-ins.
You must come to the meeting with the form provided to you by Student Conduct.
Conduct Hearing Officers:
If you have identified that a student needs academic support, the student will still need to call our office at 540-231-5499 to schedule an appointment.
The student should come to the SSC with the form that you provided to them.
If you have questions or concerns about this process, please contact 540-231-5499 or firstname.lastname@example.org
